Synth Space

Spatial Visual Experience

Overview

Synth Space is an experimental projection-mapping art by a team at Woodubury University including Ryoichiro Oka, Spencer Starling and Dr. Carole Kim.

Ryoichiro took his idea of projecting geometric pictures onto strings in 3D space (shown in the video). Spencer brought in his idea of interactiveness in projection mapping.

Experiments

Team sought for eye-catching effects with combining mirrors, prism cubes, glass products, etc.

Installation

Team conducted a week of countless trials & errors to make use of 3D space in such way that it maximizes the points of interpretation & interaction.
